This is for all the kids out there!
Calgary, Canada is famous for its annual rodeo called the Calgary Stampede. There are also many references to this Stampede in the names of restaurants, stores, streets, etc. along with signs and symbols like cowboy hats, bucking broncos, ropes, and horseshoes. When we drive from our apartment over to the Mission Office we usually see this truck parked along the side of the road with a life-sized horse in the back.We are not sure what it is used for but think it might be electrified somehow to simulate a real horse-back ride. Apparently its owner takes it to festivals and such around the area because it is sometimes gone for several days/weeks at a time. We think it is funny because he is usually painted to match the truck [burnt orange and black], but for a while he was painted green.
As you can see from this recent picture, he is now all dressed up for the" holidaze" with a wreath around his neck and a Santa hat. What a hoot!
